Biotopes for Beneficial Organisms
It is well known that beneficial insects are able to develop particularly well in biotopes. From here they wander into the orchards, where they provide support for the health of the fruit trees and the apples. During a study together with the university in Hamburg, we discovered that the insects are able to wander 500 m from the biotopes into the orchards. This is why we have not disrupted the development of our reservoirs into biotopes.
Medicinal Herb Garden
Katrin Augustin's knowledge, which she acquired at the Heilpflanzenschule
Verden, is a complementary addition to her work with the Demeter compounds. The photo shows Katrin and Ulrike scrubbing off chamomile blossoms for the chamomile compound, in order to dry them afterwards.
The ornamental garden is slowly being changed into a medicinal plant garden.
Water Treatment und Revitalisation
In order to empty our large apple crates as gently as possible, we apply a modern emptying technique with water. The required water is not fed into the sewage system but is purified in a special filter. After this the water is revitalised with flowform, which was developed within the context of anthroposophical fluid dynamics. The flowform, with its rhythmic oscillating flow of water, is a major attraction for visitors.

Office, Advertising Material and Packaging
We use only recycled paper in our office. With regard to brochures, flyers and posters, we make sure that the highest possible proportion of recycling paper is used. Outer packaging (boxes) also consists of a high proportion of recycled paper and is manufactured using a special organic glue.
